The five villages adopted under the programme are Dompada, Kushpangi, Naraj, Mundali and Amarendrapur, situated in Cuttack district of Odisha.
To work effectively with a focus-oriented approach, the UBA Cell of the University is further divided into 3 sub-committees with the following heads:

H. Field Trip
Health Sensitisation Camp and Registration of ABHA Health Cards
A Health Sensitisation Camp, under Swasth Bharat offshoot of UBA, was conducted at the Mundali village, Cuttack in order to spread awareness regarding registration of health cards which have been made available by the Central Government to uplift the status of healthcare at the grass root level where there is usually no access to proper and streamlined healthcare facilities.
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, established by the Ministry of Education has five offshoots, one of which is Swasth Bharat which primarily aims at disseminating information and awareness regarding healthcare facilities which exist in the status quo however have failed to reach the marginalized sectors of the society due to lack of literacy and an equitable access to resources.
With the aim of reducing these gaping holes in the existing policies and it’s implementation, this field trip was organised. The programme began with the members of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell conducting a skit. The skit depicted and explained the importance of ABHA Health Care Cards and its benefits. Due procedure of making the Abha healthcare card, under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme of Central Government, which allows for the card holders to avail free healthcare services in any medical establishment across the state is also explained. The skit also apprised the village community of the multiple benefits that can be construed from having the health card.
Subsequently, the members of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan assisted the residents of the Mundali village in registering their own cards while also solving their queries and doubts. The day ended on a high note with the health camp recording an enthusiastic turnout from the members of the Mundali village and the UBA successfully registering fifty three (53) healthcare cards in total. It was a great achievement for the Cell and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan look forward to conduct more such activities in its five adopted villages.
