Dompada Field Visit
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), the flagship programme of the Ministry of Education, the Cell of the University intends to enrich the five adopted villages. In furtherance of the same, the cell has been running a career counselling programme for the past two months in an attempt to educate the students about their career alternatives and their financial viability.
We conducted a programme on 19th October 2022 at Dompada, one of the adopted villages in the Cuttack district. The trainees of various job holders who passed the civil services test attended this programme. The cell’s members presented a skit outlining the value of higher education and encouraging the public to contact the cell’s counsellors if they needed any additional assistance. Furthermore, the villagers raised their concerns and questions they had in their mind and those were effectively answered by Dr. Kuntirani Padhan, our faculty advisor. The cell’s members additionally interacted with the trainees and acquired some really helpful information and guidance. The state visits experiences were also shared by the civil servants, who also appreciated the cell’s efforts to promote the general improvement of the adopted villages.
We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Kuntirani Padhan, our faculty adviser, for her constant support and guidance which made it possible for us to undertake this entire visit. Additionally, the visit would not have been possible without the coordination and facilitation of Mr. Durbala Mantry, the coordinator of the programme.
