Who Are We?
The Centre for International Trade Law is a research centre of National Law University Odisha established in 2015. The Centre is geared primarily towards research. The Centre strives to produce high quality and cutting-edge research in the field of International Trade Law and International Investment Law.
Vision & Mission
The Centre has the following objectives:
- To undertake research work in the field of international trade law and International Investment Law.
- To promote understanding of International Trade Law and International Investment Law among the students and academicians in India.
- To foster exchange of ideas and views between the Indian and foreign academics and students on issues relating to international trade law and international investment law.
What we do:
- The Centre aims at contributing to strengthening the International Trade Law and International Investment Law discourse.
- The Centre conducts research on International Trade Law and International Investment Law
- Brings out publications to expand awareness and understanding on WTO issues.
- Generate debates and dialogue between students, academics and policy maker through seminars.

Publications

2021- The Centre has published the first volume of “Guide to WTO Appellate Body Reports” by Satyam Law International.
Upcoming Publications
- Volume 2 of “Guide to WTO Appellate Body Reports would be published shortly. Volumes 3 and 4 of the “Guide to WTO Appellate Body Reports would be published isubsequently.
- The Centre is in the process of publishing a book on “Fisheries Conservation and Trade in Fisheries: Towards Sustainable Use.” Publication is expected in 2022.
- The Centre is in the process of publishing a book on “Women and Trade: Indian Context”. Publication is expected in 2023.
