"NLUO Signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ICSI"

A Panel discussion on Role of Professional Education in current times followed by MoU signing ceremony between NLUO and ICSI took place on October 21, 2020. The MoU for academic collaboration was signed through virtual mode between National Law University Odisha and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi. It covers the activities for jointly conducting various conferences / seminars / workshops / faculty development programmes / trainings and carrying out other activities for the benefits of the students, members and faculty members of the both the organisations. The ceremony was graced with the presence of Sh. Tusharkanti Behera, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) Electronics & IT, Sports & Youth Services, Govt. of Odisha. Hon’ble Minister congratulated both the institutes and focused on importance of the role of education in building new Odisha and new India.

 The MOU was signed by CS Ashish Garg, President, ICSI, and Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor in-charge, NLUO in the presence of Sh. Tusharkanti Behera, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) Electronics & IT, Sports& Youth Services, Govt. of Odisha; Prof. S. Sachidhanandam, Senior Adjunct Professor, NLUO; Prof (Dr.) A. Aruna Srilakshmi, Chairperson ACC; Mr. Mayank Tiwari, Assistant Professor of Law, NLUO, CS Prabhat Kumar Nayak, Chairman, Bhubaneshwar Chapter, ICSI; Dr. S K Jena, Director, ICSI; CS Priyadarshni Nayak, Chairman, EIRC of ICSI. The MOU will go a long way in fostering academics and research between the two institutes and it will promote capacity building in training and employment.
