NLUO held a workshop to mark Vigilance Awareness Week.

Vigilance Awareness Week – 2019 was observed in National Law University, Odisha in collaboration with Odisha Vigilance Department on 30th October, 2019. A seminar on the theme “Integrity- A way of Life” was organized to commemorate the event. The seminar was presided over by Sri Sanjay Kaushal, D.I.G. of Police, Odisha Vigilance, Sri P.S. Ranpise, I.G. of Police, Odisha Vigilance, Dr. DebasisPanigrahi, Director, Odisha Vigilance and Prof. (Dr.) Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor, National Law University, Odisha. The seminar witnessed intense discussion on integrity and its importance on both the personal and professional front. There were presentation of academic papers by AshirbadNayak, student of B.A. LL.B. batch of 2015-20, DebashrutiSanyal, student of LL.M. batch of 2019-20 and Nikita Pattajoshi, Assistant Professor at NLUO. The address by Dr.Panigrahi struck an optimistic note as he said that proper laws to uproot corruption are already in place, it is all a matter of time, the process is slow and steady. The concluding remark by Dr. Rao focused on how we, at NLUO, can strive to instill values of personal and professional integrity in individuals around us.
