The Centre for Competition Law and Policy is organizing – The “CCI-NLUO Competition Advocacy Workshop”.

The Centre for Competition Law and Policy will be holding their first event for this semester – The "CCI-NLUO Competition Advocacy Workshop" taking place on the 22nd of February, 2020.

Competition Advocacy is one of the main pillars of modern competition law which aims at creating, expanding and strengthening awareness of competition in the market. We, therefore, consider it to be of utmost importance for our students to be well versed with it. In pursuance of the same, the workshop will be conducted with the Competition Commission of India wherein the nuances of competition advocacy, along with practical knowledge about the tools for advocacy and the role of the CCI will be sought to be put forward to the participants.

The workshop will be a day-long one, i.e., from 9:30am to 3:30pm, wherein students will gain a preliminary understanding of what competition law is and aims to achieve. They will get insights as to the Competition Act, 2002, anticompetitive agreements, practices and much more with the help of Ms. Jyotsna Yadav, Deputy Director (F.A.) of the Competition Commission of India - the resource person.
