Brief Biographical Note:   Ayushi is presently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law (Contractual) at National Law University Odisha. She joined the university as Research Associate cum Teaching Assistant. Ayushi has a keen interest in Criminal law and its intersection with gender justice pursuant to which she undertook her dissertation on the topic ‘A need-based analysis of the concept of Marital Rape’ for her LL.M. from Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. She completed her B.A.LL.B(Hons.) from National Law University, Patiala, Punjab, and cleared the UGC-NET examination in 2022. Prior to joining NLUO, she worked as a content developer and a freelance educator for competitive exams like Judicial services exams, CLAT-PG exam, and UGC-NET exam. Helping students is the reason she stepped into the world of academics. Apart from this, she worked with non-profit organizations in creating awareness about mental health issues and was also a contributor to a research and advocacy project which dealt with the ‘Mental healthcare structure in India’.
