  Profile: Debasis graduated in chemistry, switched streams and qualified as a chartered accountant, worked for three years in the rural- and micro-banking sectors with ICICI Bank, and has now abandoned the corporate sector altogether in favour of an academic career. He joined NLUO in 2009 and brings with him to NLUO a rare combination of theoretical acumen and practical experience. He completed his Ph.D in 2021. He completed his Ph.D from Utkal University, Vani Vihar on the topic “Impact of Commodity Futures on the Spot Prices with Reference to Some Agricultural Commodities in India”. His research interests include Agri Commodity Derivative Market, Agricultural Economics, Taxation, Corporate Law etc.
