He has started his service as a lecturer in Physics in Government Science College, Angul from Sept.,1973 till Jan.,1977. He was a permanent lecturer as he had concurred P.S.C.. In Jan.1977, He was selected and joined Indian Forest Services till June,1977. In June,1977 He got selected in Indian Police Service and joined Odisha Cadre. He worked in various districts as S.P., DIG of Ranges and I.G. in State Police Headquarters. As Addl. D.G.P. He served as Director of Correctional Services (Prisons), Human Rights Protection Cell and as Director, Vigilance. He retired as D.G.P.,Vigilance in February,2012 and same year joined as Member, Odisha Public Service Commission and retired as Chairman, OPSC in February,2014. Then he has joined KIIT University as Vice-chairman, Administration, Audits and Accounts. He was also teaching in KIIT Law College. During my service, he have taken classes in Odisha Police Academy, Odisha Judicial Academy, University Law College, Bhubaneswar, National Police Academy etc. He was awarded with Indian Police Medal and President’s Police Medal. During his service he passed LL.B., LL.M. and did Ph.D. in Law. He have attended International Meetings on Prisons representing India at New Zealand and Meetings on Anti-corruption at Bangkok. He had also undergone training on “Commando Course” in Great Britain and briefly got attached to Leads University Law Faculty. He gave a small write up to the University on England an Indian Police System. He resigned from KIIT University and joined National Law University, Odisha. Presently he is continuing in the University and teaching Law.
