Profile: Mr. Soubhagya Sundar Nanda has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in law (B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from Madhusudan Law College, Cuttack and Master’s Degree in law (LL.M.) from National Law School of India University, Bangalore with Human Rights as his area of specialisation. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in law, Mr. Nanda enrolled with the Odisha State Bar Council and practiced in the High Court of Orissa. He holds the distinction of securing 6th rank in the state of Odisha in his higher secondary examination conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha. He joined National Law University Odisha as a Research Associate in the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) project titled ‘Exploring Changing Dynamics of Children’s Laws in India in the Post-Liberalisation era.’ His interest areas include Constitutional law and Human Rights. Mr. Soubhagya Sundar Nanda enjoys singing and playing golf, lawn tennis and table tennis. Qualifications:

Mr. Soubhagya Sundar Nanda has worked as a Research Associate for the Indian Council of Social Science Research project titled ‘Exploring Changing Dynamics of Children’s laws in India in the Post-Liberalisation era’ under the Centre for Child Rights, National Law University Odisha.

  • Participated in the Second Regional Workshop on Professional Development Programme for Advocates organised at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University, Bhubaneswar along with Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training (MILAT), Bar Council of India (BCI), Bar Council of India Trust (BCIT) and Bar Association of India (BAI) from 23rd March to 25th, 2012.

  • Bagged the award for “Longest Drive” in the 2nd All Orissa Invitation Golf Tournament at Paradip Golf Club, Paradip Port, Odisha.
  • Attended the All India Trekking Expedition at Saputara, Gujarat as a cadet of the National Cadet Corps (1st (O) Bn NCC from 15th September, 2003 to 28th September, 2003.
  • Represented District (Jagatsinghpur Circle, Odisha) in the State Schools Winter Games 2002 in Table Tennis on 23rd November, 2002 at Koraput.
