“Workshop on ‘Emerging Trends in the Legal Aspects of Mental Health’ on 30th October 2022.”

 

Indian Psychiatric Society, Odisha State Branch in collaboration with National Law University Odisha is organising a scientific programme on 'Emerging Trends in the Legal Aspects of Mental Health' on 30th October 2022 at NLUO Campus. The workshop will touch upon the areas of Juvenile Justice, Mental health Care, and Nuances of the POCSO Act while focusing on child development and child care. The workshop will be pertinent in providing insight into the growing field of Public Health Law by integrating the expertise from medical and legal fraternities. Prof. Ved Kumari, the Vice Chancellor of National Law University Odisha will be delivering her address on the mental health aspects relating to the Juvenile Justice Act. The event is set to witness the participation of more than 100 professionals including doctors, civil society members, lawyers, judges and academicians.
