“The Webinar on ‘Impact on Tribal Tradition and Livelihood post the Emergence of Naxalism’ organised by the Centre for Tribal Studies on 23rd May, 2021.”

 

The Centre for Tribal Studies, NLUO conducted a webinar on the topic “Impact on Tribal Tradition and Livelihood Post the Emergence of Naxalism', on 23rd of May at 3 pm. Dr. Kaplia Khemundu, Professor, Central University Koraput and Dr. Debendra Kumar Biswal, Central University Jharkhand were the esteemed speakers for the event. Vice-Chancellor, NLUO, Prof. Ved Kumari, graced the event and actively participated through-out the event. The webinar covered social and legal aspects of Naxalism in association with Tribal Affairs.
The discussion covered the points related to the cause, agenda and solutions of issues in the domain of Naxalism. The webinar also addressed the government policies and what measures can be implemented for having a peaceful relation with the tribals. Several students, professors, teachers and other delegates participated in the event and actively interacted with the speakers.
The Centre for Tribal Studies on behalf of NLUO extends hertiest gratitude to Dr. Kapila Khemundu and Dr. Debendra Kumar Biswal for their valuable and informative thoughts and also to all the participants for their participation.
