Academic Achievements - Mooting

  • Anish Jaipuriar, Animesh Bhaskar Mani Tripathi and Sushree Pholgu won the Best Memorial Award in the second All India Corporate Law Moot Competition held at National Law University, Delhi.
  • The university was represented by GAURAV GHOSH, MAYANK SAPRA AND ABHISHEK CHANDA in UCLA All India corporate law moot competition -2009 at NLU Delhi and performed decently in our 1st Inter University Moot Court Competition.
  • Team comprising of PREETI CHATURVEDI, NEERAJ LALWANI AND ANURAG TRIPATHY represented the university at the KK Luthra Moot Court Competition held at CLC,LAW FACULTY,DELHI UNIVERSITY and came with the 11th Best Memorial in the competition.
  • Yashvardhan Deora and Satyam Khandelwal won the prize of 2nd Best Team in hte B.C.Panda Criminal Moot Court Competition held at the High Court of Orissa in 2010
  • Participation in the All India Anti- Trust Moot Court Competition and came up as the 5th Best Team along with the 3rd Best Memorial by team comprising of ABHISHEK MOUR, ADARSH TRIPATHI AND VAIBHAV VERMA.
  • A team comprising of Puja Nair, Preeti Pratishruti Dash And Kapil Pahujani won the 6th Best Memorial and Preeti won the 2nd Best Speaker in the competition.
  • We were represented by PRAVEEN SHANKAR, NAMAN SINGH BAGGA & NIKITA PATTAJOSHI in the KK Luthra Competiton & scored 8th position in the race of Best Memorial.
  • A Moot Team comprising of Pankaj Sevta, Kapil Pahujani and Sahasransu Sourav participated in Dr. Paras Diwan Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2011 and won the Best Memorial Award.

  • The 3rd International Conference on Legal Medicine, Medical Negligence and Litigation in Medical Practice was held on 3rd to 5th February, 2012 at Jaipur organized by 'Indian Association of Medico-Legal Experts' & 'Anglia Ruskin University' NLUO was represented byApurva Raj Mathur and Proteek Debnath on 'Medical Ethics- Is Law justifying Humanity'
  • The National Seminar On Judiciary & Ethics was held on 21st & 22nd January, 2012 at National Law University, Odisha organised by Institute Of Objective & Legal Studies and National Law University Odisha. Arbaaz Hussain and Shefali Sharma presented paper on the topic Gender Diversity in the Judiciary: A Look at the Appointment of Female Judges in the Apex Court.
  • The National Seminar On Judiciary & Ethics was held 21st & 22nd January, 2012 at National Law University, Odisha organised by Institute Of Objective & Legal Studies and National Law University Odisha. Gautam Mohanty and Shubhanshu Gupta presented paper on the topic Assessing the Performance of the judges: Search for the yardsticks.
  • The National Seminar On Judiciary & Ethics was held 21st & 22nd January, 2012 at National Law University, Odisha organised by Institute Of Objective & Legal Studies and National Law University Odisha. Abhishek Kumar and Shivam Hargunani presented paper on the topic Appointment of judges: issues and trends.
  • The National Conference on Constitution and Government Policies: Doctrinal Contradictions was held on 24th and 25th February,2012 at Bangalore, organised by School of Law, Christ University. NLUO was represented by Akarsh Deepak and Rishabh Amber Gupta.
  • The 3rd International Medicine, Medical Negligence And Litigation in Medical Practice was held from 3rd February to 5th February 2012 at Ramada Hotel, Jaipur, Rajasthan, organised by Indian Association Of Medico-Legal Experts. NLUO was represented by Ridhima Khurana And Shubhi Gaur. on Medico Legal Issues In Odontology: From Analog to Digital.

  • The National Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility was held on 26-27 November 2011 at Noida, organised by Symbiosis Law School, NLUO was represented by Pankaj Sevta and Vikas Nehra & won the Best Paper Award.
  • Abhishek Mour presented a paper titled "Guaranteeing Right to Rood in India: The Way Ahead." at the 5th International Conference on Public Policy and Management organized by Centre for Public Policy, IIM Bangalore.
  • Vivek Jain wrote a research paper on “Equity, Common law and its Appliance in India: A Study” which was published by RMLNLU, Lucknow
  • Manu Maheshwari & Prasidh Raj Singh wrote a research paper on “Crime & Investigation, strategies in Asia”, were selected for 2nd annual conference by Asian criminology society, Chennai

  • Pankaj Sevta and Kaniska presented paper in UGC Sponsored National Seminar on Surrogacy in India : Problem And Law organised by University Law College, Utkal University Vani Vihar, Bhubaneshwar. Their paper was published in SOUVENIR journal. Their paper was ranked 1st among students and Ranked 6th including Teachers Category.

  • Anish Jaipuriar wrote an essay on “Rule of Law: Justice Beyond Interpretation” & was selected by Legal Ira Ignite Essay Competition Top 10 Best Essays.
  • Adhiraj Gupta wrote an essay on "Politicians, Police and Criminal Nexus : Greatest to the Rule of Law in India" in the 1st Gurcharan Singh Tulsi National Legal Essay Writing Competition organized by HNLU which was ranked 7th amongst all other entries.
